Fuel is the wheel you see on a lot of lifted utes: bold, deep and unmistakable. It started in Southern California in the late 2000s and grew into one of the most recognised off-road wheel brands. We supply and fit Fuel in Southport, from mild upgrades on a stock ute to big-diameter setups on a lifted build.
Most Fuel wheels are one-piece cast, which keeps the price sensible. The two-piece range bolts a separate centre to the barrel for a deeper, custom look. At the top, Fuel’s forged wheels are lighter and stronger again, made to order in many cases.
Some one-piece models, like the D583 Anza with its bead ring, use a decorative ring for styling only. Fuel’s true beadlocks, such as the Zephyr BL, are labelled for off-road use. We’ll tell you which is which before you commit.
Ute and 4WD owners come to us for Fuel because we check offset, load rating and tyre clearance before anything goes on. Here’s what our customers say.
When 4X4 Australia tested the Fuel Anza on an Isuzu D-Max, the 17×8.5 wheel in 6×139.7 carried a 1,134 kg load rating. That’s typical of what you need to check: the look is the easy part, but the load rating has to suit your vehicle’s axle loads, especially with a canopy or a tray.
If you’re going to 20 inches, remember the tyre sidewall gets shorter. You trade some ride comfort and off-road give for the look. We’ll talk you through the trade-off and suggest a tyre that keeps the ride reasonable.

Fuel is one of the boldest looks in our 4WD range. Pair it with our all-terrain and off-road tyres, and book a wheel alignment after any change in wheel size or offset. The other brands below give you more 4WD and road options.
No. Fuel Off-Road is a US wheel brand. Fuel Autotek is an unrelated Australian wheel distributor. The names catch people out, so check which one a listing means.
On most road wheels, no. They’re cosmetic rings that don’t clamp the tyre. Fuel’s true beadlocks are a separate range intended for off-road use.
Changing wheel offset and tyre size can change how your steering feels, so we recommend checking the alignment after a big change. We can do both in one visit.
Yes. Tell us your lift height and tyre size, and we’ll check offset and clearance so the tyres don’t rub on full lock or under compression.
