You are not required by Australian Consumer Law to have your new car serviced at the dealership to maintain your manufacturer’s warranty. Logbook servicing completed correctly by a qualified mechanic — using the right parts and following manufacturer specifications — maintains your warranty entitlements. At Action Tyres & More, we complete logbook services to manufacturer specifications and document everything properly. If you’ve been told you must return to the dealership, that’s not accurate under Australian law.
Most standard logbook services are completed within 2–3 hours at our Southport workshop. More involved services or those that include additional repairs — brake work, suspension components, or other items identified during the service — will take longer. We’ll give you a realistic time estimate when you book and keep you informed if anything changes during the service. We know your time matters and we won’t keep your vehicle longer than necessary.
Always — no exceptions. We inspect the vehicle, identify what the service requires, and communicate clearly what work is recommended and what it will cost before we proceed with anything. If we find something during the service that needs attention beyond the original scope, we’ll contact you to explain what we’ve found and get your approval before doing the work. You will never receive a bill for work you didn’t authorise.
